Prince George to Smithers

We got off to a rather slow start- picking up the bikes, getting petrol, finding oil but even for us there was an Olympic level of kerfuffling.
Riding was easy- with wonderful weather and endless forests ( well it is British Columbia- duh).

We made it to Smithers – and made a decision not to camp due to the 100% likelihood of rain. It’s a strange little town- architecturally not exciting but surrounded on three sides by mountains- you can just see the tracks of ski slopes and the path of a former glacier.

Exploring downtown Smithers was a fairly short activity- apparently the town’s highlights are rather Sausage oriented but sadly all closed on a Sunday night. So we retreated to the restaurant next door for a beer or two.
